Our Worship

Call to Worship

The service begins with God's word summoning us to direct our hearts and minds toward him.

Prayer

We commune with God through prayer as we praise him for who he is, thank him for his grace, ask for his presence in our worship, and make requests on behalf of the needy in our church, community and world.

Confession & Assurance

Confession helps alert our consciences to our sin and brokenness. This admission is always followed by the Gospel assurance that forgiveness and mercy are offered to us through faith in Jesus Christ.

Singing

Through music new and old, we sing to help tune our hearts to God's beauty, glory and majesty.

Sermon

God speaks, empowers, enlightens, encourages, challenges and convicts through the proclamation of his word in the Bible. Every Sunday, therefore, we hear a message rooted in a passage of Scripture.

Tithes & Offerings

The giving of money is not burdensome, but an opportunity to worship God with our possessions, to acknowledge our dependence upon him, and to respond gratefully for his generous gifts and provisions.

Creeds

Creeds are a way to summarize our beliefs as Christians. They remind us of our union with other Christians throughout the world and history.

Sacraments

The two sacraments we celebrate are the Lord's Supper (monthly) and Baptism (as needed). Both are visible signs of the invisible grace of God.

Benediction & Doxology

To conclude the service, the pastor blesses the people through the words of Scripture and sends them in a spirit of praise to serve the world in the name of Jesus Christ.
