Simply Christian: Why Christianity Makes Sense
by N.T. Wright
Wright is one of the most prominent scholars in the world to defend orthodox Christianity. What makes him so relevant is that he doesn't write like a scholar -- he writes plainly, simply and yet profoundly. In this book, Wright attempts for the 21st century what C.S. Lewis accomplished in the 20th century with Mere Christianity -- a persuasive defense of the Christian worldview. Unfortunately, Wright's understanding of justification seems incomplete, but he offers many solid and compelling reasons for coming to Christ, and implores Christians to become agents of change in this world, rather than just waiting for the next.
Tearing Down Strongholds and Defending the Truth by R.C. Sproul, Jr. The best defense is a good offense. This book critiques non-Christian worldviews to show their logical failures.
