Elders

Wendell Conner

Wendell and his wife Connie have been married for 38 years and have attended New Life Since 2000.  They have three grown children Wendy, Mendy, and John and two granddaughters Samantha and Emma. Wendell has taught adult Sunday school classes, lead life groups, and, been a member of and or chaired several committees at New Life.  Wendell owns and operates an Engineering consulting business.  His hobbies are woodworking and farming.

Tony Guinn

Tony and his wife Dorinda have been married since 2001. They have two daughters, Anna and Leah. Tony is a former pastor who is now pursuing a Master of Divinty. In addition to being an Elder, Tony leads the Evangelism Ministry at New life. He works for Marsh Supermarkets. His hobbies include hiking trails with his family, music, playing guitar, playing basketball, writing, reading and walking.

Scott Jordan

Scott is married to Julia and they have 2 children, Jessie and Rachel.  Scott runs a computer company called Deltec.  In his free time he enjoys doing odd jobs like building a sound booth for the church.

Deacons

Mark Bergman

Mark and his wife, Brenda, have been married since 1990 and have attended New Life since 1995.  They have four wonderful children, Nathan, Jenna, Erica and Jessica.  The Bergmans are involved in several ministries, including the Awana program, worship team, and the host ministry.  Mark serves as a deacon.  He is employed at Ontario Systems.

Randy Thompson

Randy and his wife, Alaina, have been members of New Life since 2001. “We were looking for a new church home to better serve the Lord, and God, In His providence, built New Life right around the corner.” Randy currently serves on the hospitality and communications team and is always looking for an opportunity to expand God’s kingdom. His hobbies include gardening, woodworking, camping, paintball, and sharing his love for NASCAR with his wife and son Jesse.

Larry Harting

Larry and his wife, Lois, have been members of New Life since 2006.  Larry retired as a route salesman from Colonial Baking Company and now is working part-time at BSU in food services at Woodworth Dining Commons.  He married is married to Lois and they have two children, Mark and Julia and 4 grandchildren.  Larry’s favorite pastime is spending time with his grandkids.

Paul Nagelkirk

Paul and his wife, Stephanie, starting attending New Life in 2004.  Paul is an Assistant Professor of Exercise Science at Ball State University.  He enjoys spending time with family, golfing, and watching/participating in almost any sporting event.  He is a proud fan of the Michigan State Spartans.  He and Stephanie have two children, Jack and Ella.

Mark Parkison

Mark and his wife, Jill, starting attending New Life in 2007.  Mark is an Academic Advisor at Ball State University.  He and Jill have two daughters, Ellie and Lucie.  Mark has helped lead a life group for families with young children while he and Jill have also served in the nursery, children’s church, and the events team.  Mark enjoys reading (especially military history), playing softball and tennis, and watching sports (especially baseball).
